Where is the Oregon Coast Modern?

Located in the cozy community of Manzanita, Oregon, this stunning modern cabin sits tucked away in the trees, but it’s still located minutes from the shore

On a clear day, you can see the waves crashing at Neahkahnie Beach in the distance, while being safely nestled between moss-covered trees and large green ferns.

The cabin is a stark and beautiful contrast to the surrounding landscape. The sharp, black lines of the house command attention while the lush green landscape softens the corners into a dreamy escape. You feel plucked from the outside world and dropped right into a Pacific Northwest oasis!

Surrounding the area are tons of beautiful Oregon Coast hikes, vantage points, and beach access. Some of the coolest nearby trails include Elk Flats Trail, Neahkahnie Mountain, and the popular Short Sand Beach. You can use Oregon Coast Modern as a home base for several beautiful day trips around the area!

What Can You Expect At The Oregon Coast Modern?

So, what can you expect at the Oregon Coast Modern? This large cabin can hold quite a few people (6 to be exact), so you can stay with your entire family or a small group of friends. This is a multi-level home, with many sets of stairs to access different parts of the house. Be prepared to go up and down the stairs multiple times a day!

For starters, there are three bedrooms. The master bedroom takes up the bottom level with an ensuite (with dreamy heated bathroom floors!), a private deck, and a private living area.

The second floor holds two bedrooms and a small bathroom. While the bathroom may look small, it cleverly utilizes every inch, with a mini corner sink, and a full-tiled room to convert into a shower.

The top level holds the main living room with a fireplace, full kitchen, dining area, and a deck with an outdoor barbecue.

This is where Berty and I spent most of our time! We hopped between preparing meals, reading books by the windows, and working on our computers at the dining table.

Throughout the house, you can expect to see modern touches in the decor, furniture, and color choices.

Owned by artists, this house is a reflection of its owners and their careful attention to detail and hospitality.

The Exterior

The exterior of the house is wrapped with black shakers, with a cedar walkway that leads to the main door of the cabin. If you walk around the property, you’ll notice that each level has its own private deck areas, so guests can enjoy equal amounts of time inside and outside for the full Oregon Coast experience.

Coming in late winter, we weren’t able to see all the plants around the house in bloom, but tiny buds and bright green leaves make it easy to imagine this place bursting with color in the spring and summer!

Top Floor Living Space

Admittedly, our favorite space at the Oregon Coast Modern has to be the top-floor living space.

The cozy seating and huge windows were so inviting, and we found ourselves lounging, reading, and snapping pictures until the sunset. If we were here with friends, this would be the perfect space to gather, cook together, and spend time together with its wide-open floor plan and inviting spaces.
