How To Pack For 1 Adventurous Week in Peru

There are many ways to experience Peru. The most common (at least according to Instagram & Pinterest) would be the kind of adventure that consists of few showers, hiking several miles a day, and carrying everything in a backpack. Berty and I didn’t do that. While that’s one way to visit, we actually went to Peru on a pre-planned family-style itinerary. It was choc-full of Incan site visits, artisan restaurants, and gorgeous hotels and landscapes. In this post, we wanted to share with you what to bring for this kind of adventure! So, in case you skip this paragraph altogether, I wanted to remind you that…

THIS IS NOT A BACKPACKING LIST

If you are interested in planning a backpacking specific trip, I would encourage you to seek out some travel bloggers who have experience in this. Pinterest is the best place to look, in my opinion!

However, if you’d like to plan a trip similar to our recent experience, consider checking  out our Peru packing list below. This revised list includes mostly our original belongings, as well as some items I wish we brought!
